Derek Park, DDS, MD, MA, joined UCSF Dentistry’s Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery on Aug. 3.
Dr. Park graduated from the Columbia University School of Dental Medicine in 2009 and from the UCSF School of Medicine in 2013. He completed his residency at UCSF in 2015.
His primary interests are wisdom teeth, implants, orthognathic surgery, pathology and reconstruction.
“I am excited that I have been given this opportunity to grow as an academician at UCSF,” says Dr. Park. “I look forward to being a part of an excellent team and to further implementing UCSF’s mission of caring, healing, teaching and discovering.”
“We are incredibly fortunate to have Dr. Derek Park join our group,” says Brian Bast, DMD, MD, Chair of the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. “Dr. Park was recruited to expand both our clinical and training programs. He is a master clinician and educator, and it will be exciting to watch the launch of what will be an exceptional academic career."
