Kjeld Aamodt, DDS, MS recently joined UCSF Dental Center’s Orthodontics team as an Assistant Professor and practitioner in the orthodontics faculty clinic. Dr. Aamodt earned his DDS degree at the UCSF School of Dentistry and completed his orthodontics residency at UCSF in June 2015.
Dr. Aamodt will provide care to patients as part of the Orthodontics faculty practice and will work with UCSF Orthodontics faculty, residents and staff to advance the delivery of care in the faculty practice, as well as serving as orthodontic course director for the School of Dentistry’s DDS students.
As an orthodontics resident, Dr. Aamodt helped to build a network of universities in Central and South America to study how malocclusion (imperfect positioning of the teeth) and tooth decay may affect quality of life for indigenous groups. He has been involved in orthodontic research for several years.
