This presentation will discuss the clinical diagnosis of cracked teeth and the treatment options. Endodontic treatment has been proved to be effective in saving most cracked teeth.
Educational Objectives:
- Discuss differential diagnosis of cracked teeth by evaluating symptoms and using clinical examinations.
- Determine when to use Cone-Beam CT to examine cracked teeth.
- Identify endodontic management of cracked teeth and its prognostic factors.
Instructor: Feng-Ming Wang, DDS, PhD
Dr. Wang completed an Endodontics Residency at the University of California at Los Angeles before joining the Department of Endodontics at Texas A&M College of Dentistry and is currently a Clinical Associate Professor. He was board-certified as a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics in 2017. Dr. Wang teaches both didactic and clinical Endodontics to predoctoral and postdoctoral students, and Cellular and Molecular Biology to graduate students. His research focuses on pulpal & periapical inflammation and autophagy in human diseases with the ultimate goal to develop new strategies in endodontic therapy and promote oral health.
