Instructor: Dave Carsten, D.D.S., M.A.G.D.
Dr. Carsten is a native of the Pacific northwest graduating from Washington State University with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and a DDS from the University of Washington School of Dentistry. He started practice in 1984 and was 13 years as faculty at Oregon Health Sciences University teaching predoctoral students, 5 years at the University of Southern California, and currently teaches in the GPR program at OHSU. Dr. Carsten is a Master in the Academy of General Dentistry, a Fellow in the American College of Dentists, a Fellow in the Academy of Dentistry International, a Fellow of the Pierre Fauchard Society, and a member of the Pacific Coast Society of Prosthodontics. He is a lecturer and published author on diverse topics and also is the recipient of the Award of Distinction in continuing education from the Academy of Dentistry International. He has held various leadership positions in the local and state dental associations, amongst them president of the Clark County Dental Society twice and a member of the Pacific Northwest Dental Conference Leadership Committee. He has also been a national delegate for the Academy of General Dentistry and a state delegate for the Washington State Dental Association. He currently is a member of the ADA steering committee for the DLOSCE. He is the primary lecturer for the COORS study club for health care professionals.

Cancellation/Refunds:
Tuition refund, less a $25 cancellation fee, will be issued only for cancellations received in writing at least 3 business days prior to the start date of the course. No refunds will be issued for late cancellations or no-shows. We reserve the right to cancel any course due to circumstances beyond our control; under those circumstances we will refund all course fee payments. Please be aware that UCSF School of Dentistry CDE is not responsible for reimbursement of nonrefundable airline tickets or any other travel expenses in the event that a course is canceled.
