The presentation is designed to share the fundamental knowledge of the diagnosis and treatment planning for the patients in need of full mouth reconstruction. He will discuss procedures for performing full mouth reconstruction with different workflow and applying updated digital technology to achieve optimal outcome.

Educational Objectives:

  • Diagnose the etiology of the compromised dentition
  • Using updated technology to integrate data and form treatment plan
  • Understand how to complete full mouth reconstruction with optimal esthetic result and function

Wenchou  Instructor: Wenchou (James) Wu, DDS, MS, FACP

Dr. James Wu is a board-certified maxillofacial prosthodontist.  He is a diplomate of the American Board of Prosthodontics and a fellow of the American College of Prosthodontist.  Dr. Wu graduated from Taipei Medical University School of Dentistry in 2000.  He received his master’s degree in biomedical sciences and certificate in prosthodontics from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2006. Dr. Wu was the past program director of both Advanced Education in Prosthodontics Program and Advanced Education in Maxillofacial Prosthetics Program at UAB. He joined the Columbia University as the professor and the program director of the Advanced Education in Prosthodontics in 2023.  Dr. Wu is the current chair of the National Prosthodontic Resident Exam Committee of ACP. He is an international speaker and maintained an active faculty practice at the Columbia Doctors Midtown with emphasis in cosmetic dentistry, Implant prosthesis, and full mouth reconstruction.

CDE Coursework Units: 2

Tuition: $69 (Due to the Joint Provider ship of this program with ACDE, UCSF Faculty and Staff discounts are not available.)

Cancellation/Refunds:

Tuition refund, less a $25 cancellation fee, will be issued only for cancellations received in writing at least 3 business days prior to the start date of the course. No refunds will be issued for late cancellations or no-shows. We reserve the right to cancel any course due to circumstances beyond our control; under those circumstances we will refund all course fee payments. Please be aware that UCSF School of Dentistry CDE is not responsible for reimbursement of nonrefundable airline tickets or any other travel expenses in the event that a course is canceled.
