The UCSF School of Dentistry will offer free dental screenings to children ages 17 and under as part of the Potrero Hill Festival. Pediatric residents in training and dental students in the UCSF School of Dentistry will perform the screenings and apply fluoride varnishes to prevent cavities in children who have received parental/guardian consent. Dental education also will be available as part of an overall effort to provide a positive early dental experience for children in a friendly setting. No appointment is necessary, and screenings take approximately 15 minutes.
