Second-year UCSF dental student Minerva Loi has been awarded an ADA Foundation Predoctoral Dental Student Scholarship. The scholarships are awarded to 25 students each academic year to facilitate the education of academically gifted dental students and help defray a portion of their professional education expenses.
Loi won First Place (the Ernest Newbrun Award for Research Excellence) in the Predoctoral Student category at UCSF Dentistry’s Research and Clinical Excellence Day 2014, and was recently announced as a finalist in the Junior Category for the prestigious Hatton Competition at the International Association for Dental Research/American Association for Dental Research Scientific Session in Boston in March.
